PFI contracts typically last 25 to 40 years In some cases. The snp government set up the Scottish futures trust to try and renegotiate these disastrous deals labour left scotland , as I pointed out in most cases contracts labour signed us up to that were 5 times the original cost . For example . labour signed North Lanarkshire Council up to a staggering £729 million psi deal alone for schools that were worth a fifth of that. The SFT managed to renegotiate the cost of the PFI deals down to half of what labour signed us up to , but could not legally end the deals , or pay them off early. The block grant isnt English taxpayers money. It s part of the money raised in scotland that is returned to us to run devolved areas.

Thomas can't find details where i found the 85%
But looking I think the 85 % is a reasonable figure.
The Block Grant The Block Grant has been the Scottish Government’s core source of funding since Scotland’s first major devolution of powers in 1999; when the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament was first established. It is the primary method used by the UK to fund the devolved administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
It is essentially an annual lump-sum transfer from the UK Government to the Scottish Government. This transfer of money makes up the majority of the funding for the budget. The large “block” of money can be spent in any way the Scottish Government sees fit.

I make it Clear it was a Audit of Scottish Government Spending between 2007 -2011 The Audit was produced in 2017 It said Salmond had replaced the PPF With a More expensive private Fundoing I think it said 1 project alone cost 10 Billion pounds

Alba are socialists. SNP are socialists.
The trouble with socialists is they always end up running out of other people's money.

Scotland is forced to pay a share of westmisnters debts. Scotland is forced to pay an over the top share of westmsinters defence spending compared to what other European countries pay . 96% of oil fields , and 60 % of gas fields are in Scottish waters , and what does England actually sell to the world that isnt Scottish ? Whiskey , Scottish food and drink , along with seafood etc account for a large part of what the uk exports.Per head of population scotland exports more than twice what England does. You keep your money , we keep ours , and our resources , and everyone is happy.

The top three UK exports are, Precious Metals 22.8 Billion Aircraft parts 17.3 Billion Motor vehicles. 14.6 Billion
Followed by Pharmaceuticals at 13.2 Billion
Gas and petroleum are down at 7.4 Billion, so I wouldn't get too excited if I were you,if you seriously think Scotland would be better off outside the UK then you have been listening to Humzah Usaf too much
