In the bowels of West London - Wembley an area as rough as you could pretty much find, stands quite an extraordinary school. The Michaela School. The demographic of the clientele is "multicultural". Many of its students come from ethnic minority
communities. Many children, don't have English as a first language, and you would expect a free school like this in such an area to have low examination results.
But the headmistress Katherine Birbalsingh has taken this school to dizzying new heights, and has flipped one of the Left's favourite buzzwords on its head and enacted its true meaning - inclusion. Including these ethnic minorities into the arms
of British values and traditions. The irony is not lost here, in that it takes a New Zealand born British national, daughter to a Jamaican nurse and an Indo-Guyanese Dad to instill British traditions. However, the fact this lady is of exotic roots
probably allows her best to instill British values and culture in her school, without having to worry about the lazy and tiring baiting of being called a racist for doing so.
The school has been regarded as a landmark of success and good integration because she ensures these pupils sing the national anthem, read stories and poems from Kipling and imerses these children into secular schooling with an explicit
teaching pedagogy that is contrarian to current practises of group-work and inquiry based learning. She's gone back to old school style teaching - explicit. And the results speak for themselves:
"Our A-Level Results were outstanding in 2023, with almost two thirds of our exams graded at either an A* or an A.
Michaela Community School (our parent school) opened in September 2014, and from 2019 to 2023 secured some of the best GCSE results in the country. Our school is rated outstanding by Ofsted. Michaela is the top school in England for the progress our pupils make".

Of course, there are a few agitated by this school's existence - Left wing activists and a small Muslim group who are currently taking the school to court for not allowing a prayer room to be built on site, or prayer to be practised at all during the
schooling day.
But this below is Katherine Birbalsingh's understanding of inclusion:
Personally, I think she is spot on but the data above also supports her ways of working.
Professor Robert Tombs had this to say on Birbalsingh's ways of working:
England needs more headmistresses like her wouldn't you agree?

“I take away their [the pupils’] liberty,” Birbalsingh has said. For integration to happen, it has to be forced. Pupils will sing “God Save the King”, they will sing “Jerusalem”, they will sing “I Vow to Thee My Country”. Freedom must be
sacrificed. Liberalism and multiculturalism do not go together. Otherwise, she says, the children return to a state of nature: they stick with their own. “When you have a more multicultural community, you have to actively act to ensure that
that works.”

...yes, including singing the national anthem and learning Shakespeare. These children are being shown that the country they live in is theirs. Its culture, its history, its institutions are theirs to possess. Perhaps he [some pent up Lefty
journalist] would be happier for them to remain marginalized and alienated minorities, who know their place
