Whole load of soldiers dead from gunshot wounds, including a death which could not have been suicide given the angle the rifle was held at.
Weapons cleaned up and reissued instead of being given to forensics for analysis.
Families spied on.
Want to discuss this anyone?

This was all investigated by Surrey Police at the time. Trouble is, by the time the "Civvy" police were called in, military personnel had already had plenty of time to interfere with any evidence.
If I were investigating this, I'd be looking at the NCOs and officers who were at Deepcut at the time. If the same names kept coming up every time an incident occurred then they'd be the people I'd look to get into.
Trouble is, this was all a long time ago now and the trail is properly cold.

Private Geoff Gray was shot twice in the head, at an angle from which the rifle would have had to have been aimed at his temple, and even though it's a bullpup, it's a bit weird for someone to hold the rifle at an angle that would be most uncomfortable, rather than under the chin.
The situation was very suspicious and the military had ample time to cover everything up. Including cleaning up weapons.
In my opinion, five murders took place. But proving that is difficult without the evidence (which was cleaned up).

I lived in a shared flat near Deepcut many years before the deaths there. When we had a party a soldier from the camp turned up. When I asked him why he'd joined the army a "psycho" look came over his face and he said: "To kill people!". I avoided him for the rest of the party. There were even back then rumors amongst the locals about the goings on in the camp. Maybe the training culture enhanced the desire to kill and someone, or some people, there couldn't wait for a combat opportunity?

Shit, that's bad.
Back in the 1990's when the possibility of joining up was there for me, I looked at the time and thought the cold war was over so what the hell was the point? And then Blair came along with his moronic wars. What was the point in invading Iraq?
Now, things are different, there's an obvious threat. The cold war didn't end, there was simply a brief era of hope, snuffed out by the former KGB and their man Putin.
Anyway, I digress. The people we need in the army are those who go in to defend others, not those who go in so they can get away with murder.
Deepcut definitely had psychos there.
