Details of payments made by Welsh Government to any organisation based in Uganda for each of the last five years, including the purpose of the payment.
Payments of the same type can be amalgamated.

The cost of all travel to Uganda by Welsh Government staff and Members of the Senedd for the last five years.
QUESTION 3:
The cost of the tree planting project since its inception to the end of June 2023.

Taking each question in turn:
ANSWER 1:
The total amount of funding that has been paid to organisations based in Uganda since 2018-19 to June 2023 is £177,981. An annual breakdown of the payments is
provided at Annex A. For clarity, payments of the same type have been combined, as outlined in the question.
ANSWER 2:
The total cost of travel to Uganda since 2018-19 is £12,976.77. This covers nine separate visits made by Welsh Government staff who work on the Wales and Africa programme and staff who have taken part in our International Learning Opportunities programme. No Welsh Government Ministers have travelled to Uganda in this period.
For clarity, the Welsh Government does not hold information about the cost of travel for Members of the Senedd who do not hold a Ministerial position. This would be provided by the Senedd Commission.
ANSWER 3:
Since the programme began in 2009, the Welsh Government has provided
£3,345,882 to the Size of Wales programme for the Mbale tree planting project.
Other organisations also contribute towards the project.
