A story waiting to be told. Coming soon to cinemas near you.......Those crews are heroes who are exploited. God bless them all and keep them safe.......Should set up a separate one that only looks after emergencies. . Not to ferry filthy rats into this country.....
Brand new £8million RNLI lifeboat station closes because of 'serious breakdown in relationships' among crew
The new station has been closed following an investigation by the charity
and all volunteering arrangements with the crew have been ended
Lifeboat cover at Pwllheli's RNLI station in Wales have been stopped Bosses said it was unsafe to operate due to 'ongoing division and disharmony'

Reading between the lines here, this appears to be about the campaign by RNLI management to impose diversity and wokeness on the overwhelmingly white, hetero male volunteers who actually perform the front-line services.

The key word being ‘inclusive’
I’ve been ‘rescued’ by the RNLI twice. In both cases we called for help as soon as we realised we were in shit, and we were ‘rescued’ long before it was remotely going to make headline news.
In neither case was it remotely our ‘fault’. We were equipped, we had experienced people aboard and in the secind case we were passengers with a paid crew. We were victims of nothing more than shit happening.
There was no panic, and no fuss. Both shouts were used as training for newer volunteers.
As with firemen, i don't give a flying one whether what comes to haul my sodden ass out of the sea is crewed by a bunch black as the ace of spades and camper than a butlins chalet park
What worries me is Max Boyce’s joke, told only a few years ago at the millennium centre in cardiff, about the Rhyl lifeguards not being able to swim, but getting the job ahead of any who can because they were the inly applicants who spoke welsh, becoming reality.

Even by your standards Dan, you seem to inventing an awful lot which just happens to fit into your agenda. Feels more like small town internal dickheadery to me. If you have any evidence do share.

The case that comes immediately to mind is the one at Whitby IIRC where two lifeboatmen were sacked and four resigned in the case of the 'Porno Mugs'. Apparently a visiting female manager raised the alarm as a safeguarding issue in case visiting schoolchildren saw them.
I'm sure a little digging will soon unearth others.

Oh dear, what a shame.
I'd like to see this rolled out nationally. We don't need a taxi service for illegals.

Stupid comment, the RNLI are a fantastic charity, who do believe in saving lives at sea, even the stupid ones, they have been put in the middle of bad politics and have been used because of their core belief. I certainly do not want to see the RNLI closed down because they have no way of avoiding bad political decisions are even a lack of political decisions.

When my in-laws were alive they always supported the RNLI as father-in-law was a sailor. After they died, whenever we visit any coastal lifeboat station we donate to the cause and buy something from the shop in Hastings. We do this in their memory. When this migrant crisis is over, which it will be one day, the RNLI will still be out as volunteers saving people in peril on the sea.

But — judging by a couple of charities I know, and reported problems in the (predominantly macho) Fire Service and Police — I don't doubt the RNLI has some bad managers and volunteers whose behaviour wouldn't be acceptable in most work places, though it it looks like those problems are being tackled.
The trouble is when outed the offenders often claim to be victims...

A strange choice of image on the coin given the unmistakable fact they have ‘rescued’ several thousandfold more of those in tbe image on the right thannany of those appearing in their latest charity ads. I think they should make more of their mainstream role in their charity ads and see how the funds go. Given the number of ‘please give £2 to help starving thirsty blind black girls being forced into child marriage adverts’ on mainstream tv they might be surprised
