There was discussions on the locked thread about who should be entitled to social housing. I got an email this morning about government proposals to make changes to housing allocations. I won't have a chance to look at it until next week, but I'll report back if there is anything of interest. Apologies for the delay, just got round to reading it. At present there are no national restrictions on income in order to take social housing. Some local authorities do put a limit on, whereas others don't. There is a current consultation to look at whether there should be a national guidance on this, and if so at what level should it be set. It does stipulate that once you have social housing that you are not required to release it if your income goes above the threshold.
