The vote was supposed to be at 5.30pm in a few minutes time, but apparently it's been put back to 7.30pm. Will Tory 'rebels' defeat the bill? Depends how many Labour MP's join them and vote against it, but it seems the mood music says the government will get the bill through, just. I suppose the fact that 700 criminals crossed the channel today won't help the governments cause.

Even if it passes the bill is a weak as dishwater, the only way to solve this migrant crisis is to return them back to France, each and every one of them, and if Macron doesn't like it ....... fuck him.

The rebels will vote for it or abstain (making sure that in so doing they don’t accidentally cause the vote to be lost). Next stop the HoL and then more parliamentary games.

So remind us again, what is Labour's plan to tackle the illegal boat crisis?
Oh that's right they haven't got one .... just using it as a political football to score political points for poll value.

And immigrant-loving Labour will scrap it.

It's voting for amendments that's important, there are 60 (Apparently) Tory rebels who want perfectly reasonable amendments to the bill, without them the bill is pretty pointless.

Well yes the HoL, but one hurdle at a time I suppose. I think one of the amendments is that a future [Labour] government cant unilaterally scrap the bill.

Rwanda is a brilliant plan, we so far after two years or so of political wrangling have sent none, meanwhile under the agreement we have received a few.

It's not exactly binding a future government, I cant remember it, I listened to someone earlier who went through the amendments and he mentioned something about stopping a future government scrapping the bill, without due process perhaps.

Rwanda would be a brilliant plan if it were not for three things: The European Court of Human Rights The European Convention on Human Rights Left wing human rights lawyers. All of which are real danger to this country. The amendments MP's will shortly be voting on address these problems.

Well there is also the small matter of, Rwanda doesn't have room for hundreds of thousands maybe just a thousand at the outside.
