‘This is spiralling’: alarm as youth homelessness soars in UK since Christmas.
There has been a dramatic rise in the number of homeless young people in the UK since Christmas, charities have warned.
The New Horizon Youth Centre in London said a record number of young people had asked it for help in the first week of January, while the charity Akt, which supports homeless LGBTQ+ young people, said it had seen more referrals than it would expect in a month. Roundabout in Sheffield and YMCA Trinity, which operates in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, also reported increases.

Total bollocks lefty old bean...Where was blairs 'get them off the streets'? What happened to that when he infested no 10? Let's Compare New labour Homeless record to today's New research from Shelter shows at least 271,000 people are recorded as homeless in England, including 123,000 children. Shelter’s detailed analysis of official homelessness figures and responses to a Freedom of Information request shows that one in 208 people in England are without a home. Of these, 2,400 people are sleeping rough on any given night, 15,000 people are in hostels or supported accommodation and nearly 250,000 are living in temporary accommodation – most of whom are families. The number of people living in temporary accommodation has risen by an alarming 74% in the last 10 years – something the charity argues is driven by the chronic shortage of social homes, and an over-reliance on grossly expensive and unstable private renting.. So it seems when labour cut homeless it inherited from the previous Government. Contrary to the lazy and deeply counterproductive caricature of the Blair government as “neoliberal”, homelessness was cut by two-thirds under New Labour – while the number of people sleeping rough fell by three-quarters.

The majority of the homeless are in London Labour Borough run councils, and as we know Labour can't run a bath never mind a city.
They have mismanaged all funding from central government, like Sturgeon and the SNP millions are unaccounted for, the money has vanished in to thin air, that's why they have no money in the pot to house the homeless they are ....... BUST.
And the likes of you want to put this chaotic, incompetent bunch of morons in charge of running the country FFS ....... it's stuff of nightmares.

I wonder how many of these homeless 'young people' came from the EU?

Are you calling the homeless Beggars,? The Royal British Legion’s long-held estimate is that somewhere between 3 and 6% of homeless people have an armed forces background, but there are concerns that some homeless veterans are rendered “invisible” by the way statistics are collected

Are you calling the homeless Beggars,? The Royal British Legion’s long-held estimate is that somewhere between 3 and 6% of homeless people have an armed forces background, but there are concerns that some homeless veterans are rendered “invisible” by the way statistics are collected I thought I was perfectly clear. I repeat... "We wouldn't have nearly as many beggars in this country if this so called conservative government grew a pair and secured our borders". There are indeed many people in this country who for many reasons and many years have needed housing and help. Sadly illegals from the EU have priority.
