They remain a protest party at heart. Their role is in opposition, not government.

someone pointed out a mere two days before this story broke , people were being urged to come out and campaign or support this fabulous labour candidate , then it was being reported she had been suspended for being transphobic. The world has literally gone fucking mad. |

.. they have just suspended a candidate who believes in science.. so are Labour just a cult? reading the article it just gets worse The candidate they have suspended ‘identifies’ as a victim of oppression against her biogical sex. She openly says she identifies as s biological woman, and a feminist. She says biological women are being discriminated against by trans men… Now actually i’d agree with most of that. Certainly i have seen in my own career path an opening up of various paths to women that my grandmother would never have dreamed possible. And i agree with that. I have other issues but the overwhelming point here is this woman made absolutely no secret of her ideology, values and stance at any point during the selection process. No one can try to hide behind bullshit that she tried to keep these views secret. Far from it If the party had a problem with her stance on these marters why did they leave it this late to veto her ?? |
