I'm not saying Unions are a bad thing, but when they are used as political weapons it defeats the object of their purpose.
The NHS strikes are purely political, they are to undermine the Tory government, asking for a 35% pay rise tells you it's political, and it will backfire on lefty Labour Unions, because even lefty voters know a 35% pay rise is outrageous, and the Junior doctors and lefty Unions are losing both sympathy and voters.
How many. Times have you been told the junior Doctors union don't have any connection to the labour party. But you keep using the lie they are. How many times do you have to be told they all piss in the same pot, it's all political, if you don't believe the Unions are behind the Junior doctors strike then you are even more denser than you appear.

Its not mandatory to have a state pension lefty old bean. And if millionaires do receive it how do you know they do not pass it on to the needy? It is mandatory to receive the state pension. And I don't know if they pass it on To the needy neither do you. And if they do. If they do I'm sure they use it to Sponge Tax relief on it. Like they probably did all there working lives. Sponging tax relief on the OAP pension? What tax relief? The paltry OAP pension is taxable and counts towards personal allowance How ? I'm all ears (might be useful info in several years time)

We have some labour MP bitch stating she can't live on £200k per year. Do you think she has a case? Urm once again don't think that relevant. Bit. I amswer when you answer my question seeing the post about pension. Do you think 3 millionaires should receive state pension. If they've paid the relevant contributions then of course they should.

If they've paid the relevant contributions then of course they should. I'm Glad you said if If they were paid PAYE then they would have paid the relevant NI. If they were self employed then the NI cons and the state pension would reflect that .

This pensioner does not trust the Tories.
Or the left
Or the Green Martians.
But I do accept that not only do cottontops make up a quarter of the electorate, but that they are the demographic most likely to vote. So like most oldies I know that governments of all political stripes respond to a good kick up the arse, so I will continue to vote for parties vaguely right of centre

I know it's your affair but don't you think that's a wasted vote?

OK but I think that State pension should be Means tested like Unemployment benefits. Think that will ensure that the pension is more evenly distributed amoung the less fortunate then the Millionaires.

So you think that some people should be forced to contribute to a scheme but denied the end product if you think they have too much money ?

Except that the pension has been paid for by the recipient whereas benefits often haven't.
