Is that not the point that a dictionary only gives the current usage and teh act of changing current usage is using it in a different way. I am sure for many years gay was only a description of a demeanour or a colourful appearance and it was many years of regular use before it appeared as a description of sexual orientation. It may be that 'woke' will at some time be officially approved for use in the dictionary as a term of abuse. But who knows but that is most certainly how words do change No the point is we have losers that can't articulate a proper argument against those whose 'caring for others you don't know' views they find evil, resorting to perverting the English language. At best they are trolls Well let us be realistic, woke is not so much caring for others it is caring for the assumed feelings of others and trying to make law to defend those assumed feelings. |

I have tried for a couple of days now to get a clear meaning of what this word now means or better still some examples. I have failed.
Which seems proof to me that it is just an empty word of abuse uttered by those aware that their argument is weak designed to rally support behind their tribe.

In my view Affirmative action is racially discriminatory and does not correct injustice it actually creates injustice, cancel culture is an inability to engage in any form of debate. Affirmative action takes many many forms so depends a little bit on what you mean. Could you give me examples? |
