What is the SNP playing at?
Not content with seeing a dramatic loss in support, the party would seem to have a death wish: a daft decision has been made to put up a candidate against Angus Brendan MacNeil, in the Western Isles. Daft because Angus is a popular MP with, I suspect, a high personal vote. The SNPs candidate is a councillor, but the question hast to be asked: how well known is she in the constituency? The decision has to be a knee jerk reaction to MacNeil's decision not to take up the party whip again, when his period in the wilderness was up. The situation will result in an open goal for Labour as the Independista vote will split. Many will back MacNeil but many others will vote SNP. To vote for the cause means people, who believe in Independence, should vote for the best person to act, on constituents' behalf but also, to further the cause of Independence. In this particular seat, MacNeil has a head start, being the sitting MP. So all Independistas should coalesce around him.
The SNP should come off its high horse and accept that there are instances where someone other than a party member will do better.

They're ALL daft.
They hate the English and yet want to be ruled by others (the EU), what's the point of them? A real independence party would want self governance, not subservience to external government.
Scrap devolution and kill the SNP off for good.
