Yes, I'm quite familiar with the 'rationale' behind the formation of the Premier League and view that the major corrupting influence in English football. And yes, I do recall Roy Keane's remarks about the prawn sandwich brigade from the time he originally made them and understand why he felt moved to do so. The difference with Jim is that, unlike the Glazer tribe or the Arabs, he doesn't need to own a Premier League for the money or to divert attention from unsavoury goings-on at home. Or the Chinese for that matter. Hmm well the Edwards family were neither American,Arabs or Chinese and in fact most people choose to ignore Fergusons part in the Glazer saga. Jim is a businessman and it is the money that counts,funnily enough the media were besides themselves last night at the comeback against villa and what a difference the new owner has/will make. Maths not their strongest point a 25% share doesn’t make you owner and even that is questionable and could well be less because of the different shares and how they affect control which matters. |

The Edwards family were greedy bastards who saw a quick killing in taking the club public, but they're rank amateurs compared to the Glazers when it comes to bleeding the club dry.
Most genuine fans as opposed to ABU-types are prepared to give Jim the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Anything is better than the detestable Glazer shysters.

The best possible Christmas present any Manchester United supporter could have hoped for. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Ineos team have wrested control of sporting operations at MUFC from the detested Glazer brood which will hopefully be just the first phase in booting these hated bloodsucking leeches out of the club.
