I will never forget news footage of a care home manager shouting at ambulance staff and telling them that under no circumstances was she going to allow them to return a resident after coming out of hospital, and having not been tested for Covid.
This was on the same day that the Health Secretary was claiming that there was a "ring of iron" or words to such affect around care homes - This one fact, this one piece of evidence proves that the government just didn't know what they were doing.
Been not of a medical or scientific background, even I know that releasing an elderly and vulnerable person from hospital, at a time when there was a life threataning pandemic, and sending that person into a care home WITHOUT been tested can only be described as utter incompetence, and places large numbers of people at uneccessary high risk.
Checks and balances is part of democracy, its why we have opposition parties, its why we have a second chamber or upper house of Parliament, and why we have a society where we can question and criticise.
As for Dawn Butler, she has not actually said or stated that the murder was hate related due to the victim been Trans, but she seems to have inferred it.
She stated ( according to Britains most dodgy newspaper ) that "this government should be ashamed because they have created so much hate towards trans people".
Some of the worst and most hatefull comments I have personally seen against Trans people have been right here on this forum. I see that some of those same people are now shedding Crocodile Tears for the murder of what is first and foremost .. an innocent human being.
