I have seen a UFO … like a camouflaged Goodyear-shaped ‘airship’ blimp that hung just over a wooded copse near Stourbridge about 800 metres from the car I was driving … it was ‘spying’ on a secret rebuilding programme going on at a water reprocessing plant … but unlike most ‘airships’ it disappeared from a clear blue summer sky within 30 seconds of my vision being obscured by houses and trees … not a possibility for a hovering human-designed ‘airship’ … so my conclusion … a UFO airship - designed and shaped to blend in … and not alarm humans. I haven’t knowingly/consciously encountered an alien … but I believe the accounts of many military personnel and highly trained professionals who have sworn testimony to having staggering encounters with UFO’s and aliens. … if that makes us analysts who sift the evidence “idiots” …. then you best scuttle back into the arms of those scientists who “don’t even bother getting educated” on the subject … yet still have an opinion you and they believe?? It's a fair question, they speak in a completely different language, while the knowledge they have acquired can only passed among a very few. While most people wouldn't have a clue what they were talking about. So, in that way it is a natural process. Well I have failed to see a shinning light from those deemed as the brightest so far. They try to pass any old crap off as gospel but fall at the first hurdle wnen their assertions are questioned. Well maybe you aren't looking hard enough, I would rather enjoy my retirement from the mad world of politics personally. |

It's certainly a theoretical possibility. But there are (or will be) counters to even this. The strongest argument in favour of a presumption that aliens will have benign intentions is: we have benign intentions. We've been trying to contact alien life for a long time. We're not looking to destroy or exploit them. It is mostly intellectual curiosity. It could only ever be a presumption, though. Ours signals could be picked up by a scouting ship looking for resources. Still ... We have been broadcasting and sending our radio waves for more than a century now. These travel at the speed of light. So this means that if there is any intelligent species within 100 light years of us and looking in our direction with the ability to pick up our radio waves and understand their nature, they will be aware of the existence here of a species intelligent enough to broadcast radio waves. Since they are unlikely to have become a species advanced enough to pick up our radio waves without curiosity - the driving force of new knowledge acquisition - any species that notices our broadcasts is going to be very curious about us, as we would be if we picked up broadcasts from them. |
