Is misgendering someone a hate crime? You tell me. See above. If transphobia isn't a hate crime, she will have been arrested for something else. Was she drunk and disorderly?

Is misgendering someone a hate crime?I It's just your thread title claims she was arrested for being transphobic.

Unfortunately, the video doesn't show what she was arrested for. Okay, at a stretch some of what she was shouting might have constituted a (very) minor public order offence (S5 POA 1986, maybe...) but I doubt it would meet the threshold for prosecution and in any case the police in the video didn't make any move to arrest her.
So she was arrested later for something else.
And we don't know what that something was.

I am going off the facts as I know them, she was interviewed on GB news, yes Iknow your thoughts on them and there’s people feel the same about the beeb. They’re media and have faults but that doesn’t mean all their content is rubbish, she gave this interview (see below) and was arrested following it. Unless somethin to the contrary emerges I accept that.

Again, that's a video with no evidence.

From the piece in the mail. But that still doesn't tell us what she was arrested for.

See above. If transphobia isn't a hate crime, she will have been arrested for something else. Was she drunk and disorderly? From the cps website Ah yes, "hate" crime.
And personally, I hate "hate crime" as a concept because it's dangerous and stupid.
However, it's worth remembering that hate itself isn't a crime. It's an adjunct to other offences. So there needs to be an actual offence for the "Hate" element to be attached to.
And, for an arrest, a reasonable suspicion thereof.
Now the police are doubtless a woke shower of shit these days but there is also more to this than either she or the Daily Wail are letting on.

Perhaps but I took all this at face value and is why I said the cops were following the law, when you consider though people have been arrested for silently praying who knows what is going on.

With respect, it does nothing of the sort. I'm talking legal specifics: Which exact offence was she alleged to have committed and which exact act did she allegedly do that gave rise to that reasonable suspicion? Those are legal specifics as opposed to: "I was nicked because of what I said".

But again, the woman wasn't just arrested for "Silently praying". She was arrested on suspicion of committing an act that was contrary to an order that was already put in place by a court. Said woman had already committed nuisance/harassment in the vicinity of an abortion clinic. Therefore a court had put an order in place prohibiting behaviour likely to repeat the same. She was there "Silently praying" and the police, quite rightly, reasonably suspected that she was, or was about to be, breaching that order.

Fair enough but I posted this thread following the other on thought crime,I just find silently praying and expressing a view did amount to a hate crime and the cops hands are tied by what I believe badly framed laws. The only other thing is I did or thought I did also post the mail piece in the op but have been having probs posting links which I highlighted in the feedback thread.

...the cops hands are tied by what I believe badly framed laws... And there I'd certainly agree (hence why I said that I hate the whole concept of "Hate" crime). ...The only other thing is I did or thought I did also post the mail piece in the op but have been having probs posting links which I highlighted in the feedback thread... Notwithstanding, the problem with all media reporting these days is that it's selective - they don't lie per se, they lie by omission - missing out those bits of the story that don't fit their narrative. The DM article appears to say a lot but when you drill down, it actually says FA.
