Former minister David Davis has said he stepped in to stop two men attacking a homeless man near Parliament. The Conservative MP, 74, intervened after seeing a “spray of blood” as the attackers kicked the man’s head at around 11pm on Great Peter Street, Westminster, on Tuesday. Former Brexit secretary Davis put himself between the victim and the pair before scuffling with one of them. The veteran politician let the rough sleeper, named Gareth, spend the night on his sofa at his nearby flat and took him to hospital on Wednesday morning because he was still bleeding - linkApparently this is not the first time David Davies has stepped in to help strangers who were being assaulted. Good for him, he is an example to us all.

Davis is the best PM we never had. His heart may be in the right place, but his handling of the initial Brexit negotiations, and resigning to force a by-election on the issue of detention of suspects, shows his grasp of important issues is suspect…

Davis is the best PM we never had. His heart may be in the right place, but his initial Brexit negotiations Were sabotaged by Theresa May. His heart most certainly is in the right place. As is his head.

Suella would have given him a right kicking.
