So concludes research by Queens University, Belfast as part of a £1+ million study funded by the Economic and Social Science Research Council.
According to the research findings, the census has confirmed that while the country has become significantly more ethnically diverse it has at the same become less segregated.
The rationale, per the publicly-funded study, is that segregation is no longer considered just to be between White Britons and 'The Others' - the so-called 'gold standard' definition - but now refers to between any one ethnic group and any other.
In other words, change the definition and change the outcome. QED and all's well that ends well.

The point here may have been a little obscure, but the change in the definition of 'racial/ethnic segregation' has important ramifications.
For one thing it will tend to play down the incidence of white flight. If white Britons no longer appear to prefer the company of other whites over that of the Other, which is what the new definition infers, then integration is on its way to succeeding. Less segregation = more mixing.
That's the message we're meant to be absorbing.
The one a government quango has paid a million pounds for 'scientific proof' for.

The other message is of course that the White British are considered as nothing special nowadays, they're just another ethnic group no different to any of the eighteen others that are now officially recognised. No more or no less important or deserving than any of the others.

I think the issue with the 2021 Census is they sold out to a private organisation so i wonder if the data oeople are allowed to see is accurate…

No harm in creating an equal society which most people seem to want, what the issue turns out to be is creating a multiracial society for which there was never any degree of support except in the intelligentsia who decided who decided what should happen. A society that is equal is one thing a society that extends equality to the whole world where inequality reigns is in for a rude awakening. What makes an equal society is a certain degree of homogeneity, without that there will always be disagreements. |
