I'm sorry for using the upsetting term remoaners. "Fascists" would be a better word for them bad losers. Fasces are a bundle of sticks lashed together for strength. Fascists believe in strength, rather than democracy. The EU is not a democracy, because the policies of the EU are set by Commission, not public votes. It needs root and branch reform. We have an FTA with it, there is no need to rejoin. If they get reform, good for them. If they don't, well, don't be surprised if more leave. How can people who think re-joining the EU fascists? Our free trade deal is skewed to favour the EU, just like all the deals we have made since leaving, better for the other side. The European Commission (the EU’s civil service) is responsible for drafting and proposing legislation. The European Parliament (elected by EU citizens) and the Council of Ministers (representing national governments and attended by national ministers) amend the draft proposals and vote on whether these proposals should become EU law. National governments and the European Commission are then responsible for seeing that those laws that are passed are then implemented. The two most common forms of EU legal act are regulations and directives. Both regulations and directives are legally binding, and both are applicable to all 27 countries of the EU. Where do you get your information from?

The EU Parliament is a scrutinising Parliament not a policy writing parliament, the Commission write the policies the public aren't involved.

Fascism is dictatorial, a system of government in which the wishes of the public are abstracted.
The EU abstracts the public from the political process. Commissioners write the policies. The Public does not get to vote on direction, only scrutineers.
