Keir Starmer lets slip that EU anthem 'sums up the Labour partySir Keir Starmer has let slip that he believes the EU anthem, Ode to Joy, is the song which "sums up the Labour Party". He said the song has "a sense of destiny", adding that it has a "sense of moving forward to a better place". Earlier this year, Starmer confirmed he is planning to renegotiate the UK's relationship with the EU if he is elected. www.gbnews.com/politics/keir-starmer-eu-anthem-labour-party-ode-to-joyI know what you're thinking, 'Is this news? Everyone knows Starmer is pro EU'. Well yes, you're right. But I thought I'd mention it anyway. Ode to joy. The 9th symphony by Beethoven. Oh Beethoven that well known EU supporter. You got em there Red. I am familiar with the origins of Ode to joy, a piece of music I used to enjoy listening to until it was hijacked by the unelected monstrosity.

Who was it hijacked from then? It was hijacked from people who prior to the theft enjoyed listening to it. Now stop being a pedant.

The ‘ expert ‘ ……suggesting they may………so he didn’t say they were . Its a load of bollocks Don’t believe what you read in the Guardian. There is no real evidence either way. As Blake never stated the meaning. However he was a Methodist Christian and did hate the dark churches and their preaching of orthodoxy. I think the fact that there were mills and factories employing wage slaves and pumping out soot and other pollution might be a clue ..rather than the local parish church 🤔
