Andrea Jenkyns tells Tories who don't want Brexit to 'sod off to Lib Dems' in GB News rant.

Jenkyns says "back in 2015 we only took 6 seats off labour with one nation type conservatism ,to me some of these policies belong to the lib dems"
What has to be remembered is that at the time of making said policies the conservatives were in coalition with the lib dems and expected that to continue going forward . It was only the promise of a referendum on Europe (to shoot UKIPs fox) that boosted the conservative vote
Jenkyn's advice should maybe have come in 2016 , with a conservative party that believed in Brexit we may have actually got one .

It was only the promise of a referendum on Europe (to shoot UKIPs fox) that boosted the conservative vote It may have been a factor, but it wasn't the ONLY factor. The fact that the LibDems vote collapsed was a big factor too. Reasons for that included many LibDems voters not happy with the coalition with the Tories, and their broken pledge on University fees.

Lib dems traditionally turn to Labour when they have the hump not the conservatives . You say yourself they were not happy with the coalition so why would they vote tory ?

I don't think that natural LibDems voters would, and certainly those who weren't happy with the coalition wouldn't, but their votes didn't all go to Labour.

Thee Big factor why Lib-Dems fell flat on their face, Jo Swinson was campaigning to Cancel Brexit 'the only party that will cancel Brexit'. a new referendum , it was laughable that it cost her not only the election but her seat .... remembering the photo of her and her husband after her defeat ........ he's looking at her thinking ........'what the fuck have you done' ..... LOL

No I was specifically talking about the 2019 snap Brexit GE, however I remember the coalition very well, and the reason why Clegg was replaced with Swinson, his pledge to make Free tuition fees was his downfall, when he voted with the government to RAISE them.

I know you were, but we were talking about why Tories took the majority in 2015 from the coalition.
