Out of work scroungers are a problem, the benefits bill is ridiculous. But if Sunak seriously thinks people are more concerned about out of work scroungers than thousands of foreign illegals who are costing £8 million a day in hotel bills alone, then he's away with the left wing fairies. I suspect Sunak is attempting to take people's attention away from the illegal invasion which always slows during the winter months, and attempt to focus attention elswhere, as in out of work benefit scroungers. I don't like scroungers, but in a welfare society scroungers are always going to be a reality. So I would sooner support home grown scroungers who share my language beliefs customs and traditions than imported scroungers who look down on my language beliefs customs and traditions, and according to MI5 pose a real threat to my way of life.

I bet foreign aid will be increased now Cameron is back That's all he is fit for. It costs the UK taxpayers millions per year just to find a bloody excuse to pay foreign aid.

He can only lobby, but he is lobbying for money against say the money for the NHS waiting lists and the like. What I heard though is Sunak will fail at the next election big-time and the reason for Cameron was to make him the next opposition leader. Then he will have to wait until Labour totally destroy the country to gain power.

To be fair unless GPs are in on it, why would they dish out sick notes to fit and healthy people?
Me thinks it stinks, me thinks the sick and disabled are going to have to foot the bill for the hotels for our foreign friends.
Of course you are inevitably going to read that people kicked off the sick will die, because the Tories will go in like a bulldozer, not caring who is genuinely sick and who is not, they will just stop them, you can just see it coming.

The only surprise is that you you didn't already know this. I mean, just imagine kicking disabled people whilst sounding out tax cuts for the rich...

BLM, Stop Oil, Open Borders and the Hamas marches will keep people busy. These are the things that really matter to the Left today.

He will have to get elected first, and that isn't a given at the moment. I should think that the Tories will get such a pasting that he will disappear, he is the epitome of all that is wrong with the Conservative Party., an Old Etonian that wants to spend our money on foreigners, not for me I'm afraid.

When I was signing on in the late 90s (when I was in my 50s) my benefit was stopped. I was accused of not actively seeking work. I had to attend an interview. The person who interviewed me was one of those very dark-skinned people from Southern India. He arranged for me to be classified as being "of no fixed abode" (I was a squatter) ... which really meant that I was a "tramp". I was paid the same as people on long term sick, but didn't have to see a doctor, or sign on. My benefit nearly doubled. When I reached 60 I was paid the same as if I getting the full state pension ... still without having to seek work or sign on.
I had been trying to find work ... but apparently I hadn't been satisfactorily recording my efforts (the Job Center had no available jobs to send me to).
When I as 70 I became homeless and ended up in a hotel that catered for the homeless. I was interviewed by a benefits officer, a "cheerful" African, who I got on well with. He arranged for my full rent to be paid (he could have only authorised part of it). I was better off there than in my present privately rented room.

Ask your GP about the GMC. If you start doing stuff like that it would only be a matter of time until one gets traced back to the GP and then the GP would get to meet the GMC. GPs have invested many years in their training and have a great deal to lose. It's a similar deal with solicitors when they act as witnesses to documents and the like.

You come across as quite an intelligent chap, I hope that doesn't sound patronising it's not meant to. Why were you a squatter at 50 and homeless at 70? I'd love to hear your story, and I appreciate this is very personal so please feel free to ignore.

Throughput my life, at school, at work, in my living environments, there's always been someone who "gets on my case". I once lived in a house where there was a young man training to be a lawyer. He said that I "bring out the evil in people". I note people's mannerisms, their facial expressions, their body postures, etc. I, so it seems, am tuning into aspects of their personalities they wish to hide. I once got a job in a factory. Before the day's end I noticed several workers talking nearby, looking at me. One of them came over to me and said: "We don't want you here". This kind of focus on me began on my first day at infant school. A few days later the teacher told the class, during the religious education lesson, that I had a "Judas eye". I applied for a job in a laboratory. Met with, and got on OK with the other staff. I got the job ... but had to see the company's nurse who would check my health. She reacted negatively to the way I communicated and declared me to be "unsuitable". So I didn't actually get the job. I became homeless at 70 when, after living in Sheltered accommodation for over ten years the manager accused me of printing letters on my computer printer criticising her and putting them through other tenants' letter boxes. Even during my squatting days I found it necessary to move more than once because someone didn't want me there. If there is an afterlife and I go to Heaven I hope God doesn't take exception to the way I communicate ... if he does, and I end up in Hell, and Satan doesn't want me there either then I'm stuffed.

The point I was making, the government want to override GP sick notes, so in other words it will be the government deciding who is fit for work and not the GP, since when did politicians become GPs?
GPs do not just dish out sick notes, there has to be a diagnosis that would warrant a sick note, personally I think the government is overstepping the mark, and I suspect they will be challenged in court over this, and rightly so.
