There's no "circle" to "square". Homophobia is, to reasonable people, as much a red line as racism. And that goes as much for homophobia born of a "religious" motivation as anywhere else. I was one of the people, a decade ago, who handed a leaflet in to the Derby police calling for gay people to be killed. (Local Islamists were charged, and later found guilty). Over the years, I've probably argued with just as many "Christians" as "Muslims" over homophobia. I'm not about to play favourites on that one. It may come as a shock to some here to learn that there's such a thing as "binary thinking": I have absolutely no problem with anyone holding any religious views - so long as they keep to the law. I believe Palestinians have a right to a homeland - and Israel has every right to expect to exist and live in peace. I admire the works of Caravaggio, Roman Polanski, and John Wayne - while fully acknowledging that they were/are rotten human beings. See? Binary Thinking. Not so difficult as you might imagine. Which really begs the question why participate in the exposure of the BNP membership list whose members had not broken the law nor were they members of an illegal political party. When one knows that exposure would risk physical harm and criminal acts. Is it only 'religious views' that demand respect for holding views even if they are proselytising religion. You could spend all day finding massive holes in their logic, they'll just ignore it. |

If you think only lefties are CONFUSED on this subject you are wrong, you in your rather arrogant approach are equally confused. In reading the posts so far I see a glaring absence of the obvious, i.e. IT IS THE PARENTS WHO NEED EDUCATING not the children. Better informed parents are the best people to deal with easing the problems of the child. Dictatorial parents who are unable to understand the problems of the child, will still do damage to the child, but sensible parents, helped by a better understanding of the human condition, will handle the problem with their children better than some well meaning equally single minded individual writing programmes of instructions for teachers. No one has an answer as to why some people feel they are in the wrong body, but it is not a recent so called woke problem, it goes back thousands of years. I don't for a moment think it's only lefties who are confused. A large proportion of society are politically ambivalent/ignorant. Some people have switched off from politics because they're sick of it, others were never interested in the first place. In my experience when it comes to politics a lot of young parents come under the heading 'not interested', some of them never watch the news they don't know what 'current affairs' means, in some cases they don't even know who the prime minister is, yet Starmer wants ballot boxes in schools! As for children being in the 'wrong body', this is woke nonsense it's absolute nonsense. Body dysmorphia affects an infinitesimally small percentage of people, yet schools ask children if they feel they're in the wrong body, they encourage children to think they're in the wrong body. This is nothing more than woke left wing teachers brainwashing impressionable children, it's wrong and it should be stopped. I would say this will create a lot of psychological issues, but I think the main reason behind it is to see how far they can go with other people's children.
The Left have always resented the family network and have always attempted to brainwash kids, even against the parents knowledge and will. I'd recommend removing the perverts from teaching and send the education board behind it to prison.

I agree this isn't suitable for primary age kids. Indeed, any sensible person would agree that this sort of trans woke nonsense should be kept well away from impressionable school children, which is of course precisely why progressive lefties indoctrinate school children, they're impressionable. My only surprise is the government, a supposedly conservative government, allow schools to brainwash young impressionable children, it's scandal. And consider this; if this is what it's like under a Tory government, imagine what it would be like with BLM supporting, woke supporting left wing Starmer as prime minister. Has there ever been a worse time in post war Britain to be a child in this country? I think probably not. It's very true that young children can be impressionable, Red. I'm glad my kids aren't at school now that's for sure. You will no doubt be aware that schools fine parents for taking children out of school without good reason. Yet left wing teachers take children out of school to demonstrate against Israel. It's mad, and they are doing it because they know this Tory government, for some reason, will pander to disruptive lefties. |
