Well not really - it's a matter of biology. What separates male from female is biology, not societal definition. If you want to argue that you can change your biology by force of will then feel free to argue that - it will be an interesting argument. No, it's not. Nobody's saying that someone born with a penis is biologically the same as someone born with a vagina. But society decides what the marker of a particular gender is. One society can decide it is genitalia, another can decide that it is the bio-chemistry of the brain. What the gender is will differ according to which society or group's definition is used. Society does not accept your definition - they are quite happy with biological reality. |
