So your relying on Growth estimates for 2002 estimates can swing either way positive or negative. The bank of England says we be in recession for 3yrs thats including covid, war, and Brexit what all have a impact on our economy. I'm not relying on anything - you are. You are clutching at some growth forecasts to make some kind of political point - I'm simply pointing out what actually happened.

You appear to be ignoring even the possibility that Brexit is working against the UK economy as suggested by the estimated big drop in growth between 2021 and 2022. I'm sure that if the IMF estimate becomes reality it will undermine your persistent attempts to defend all things Brexit and allow you to take a more realistic approach to Brexit.

Corbyn might have done a better job than Johnson. The thing about Corbyn is he's a fairly modest man so he may well have left the entire control of the pandemic in the hands of experts and made sure the experts knew their shit. He would most certainly avoid American advice too. I think Corbyn was more naive than modest. He was a bit like Truss totally unaware of the possible 'unforeseen circumstances'. That's such a broad slur that to me it is rather meaningless. Perhaps you mean they have different ideas compared to the parliamentary group think. Truss was very anti-nanny state and I think that position had some mileage, but was never road-tested.

Brexit's impact on the economy is absolutely trivial - the are far more important things to worry about than something as inconsequential as Brexit From what I have heard on TV even from the PM, Brexit has worked against the UK economy. Yep, it is working against our economy and could destroy our car industry. Well I say our car industry, but it is in fact mostly foreign-owned and is heading to China. China is now seen as the best place to build a car and win in the car market game.

I'm struggling to see a Brexit effect tbh..
