I don't think anyone has a clue how much traffic this wild scheme will generate, least of all the people who are promoting it.
I can't believe the French would go for such a madcap idea on their territory unless the Brits commit to take them all, like a Sangatte Mk II.

You refer I think to 'The Amnesty That Dare Not Say Its Name', the one Rishi has set in motion so he can claim to have met his pledge to clear the backlog by the end of this year. Latest asylum stats are to be released this week. Look for a spectacular leap in the number of 'valid' claims. I just thought you might like to know, because sometimes people get the wrong perspective. We had this massive carnival last night where over 10 000 people turned up on the streets. I had to walk through it all and did not see one foreigner. People come from all over Somerset and even further afield to this town. Strange that eh? I mean you get a lot of foreigners at the Notting Hill one. |

The Tories seem incapable of stopping illegal immigration and Labour have no intention of stopping illegal immigration. Just another reason to vote Reform UK. Labour plan to open asylum processing centres in France, which the French have said we can, that is hardly "no intention". So what happens to the migrants that just get into boats and sail across the channel ? |

I agree, he has a point however in that when one goes to many events the racial mix of the country is not represented. I do steam rallies, country shows, car boot sales and attendance (apart from Eastern Europeans) does not reflect the racial (cultural?) mix of the areas which is mostly Worcestershire and Shropshire. |
