Sunak has lost the plot, he's weak. In getting rid of Suella he has shown that he is more interested in appeasing pro EU centrists in the party than he is about listening to Tory voters. We can forget leaving the ECHR now. And lets not forget, Suella was popular among Labour voters who voted for Brexit and want the immigrant invasion stopped. The sooner Sunak is gone the better.

I shall watch the Braverman campaign to take on Ricky with interest, if letters go in and there is a battle for PM and Braverman doesn't win then the Tories will be out for 20 years. Possibly more, Starmer will immediately flood the country with new British and will give 13 year olds the vote, we might never see a Tory Government again. Cameron failed to do his job last time, so not much of a cv, I would have preferred Lord Frost, but it is rather academic now.

The hotbed of traditional Tory voters, the middle class, county set do not want anyone like Suella Braverman, they want the Tory Party to return back to the traditional Tory Party.
However, and unfortunately for the Tories, the not so traditional Tories of the North, the Red Wall voters, prefer someone caustic and divisive like Suella Braverman, and these people will not vote for what they see as a bland and traditional Conservative Party.
As seargeant Fraser of Dads Army would say, the Tory Party are D O O M E D

They've been in power longer than Labour were. It's inevitable that they'll go.
Politics is a cycle.
But the press loves to tear people down. Suella got somethings right, especially the double standards in policing and the fear of Islamists.

Suella got somethings right, especially the double standards in policing and the fear of Islamists. As time goes on, it will become increasingly clear to many that she was substantially correct. Even many Labour voters are going to become aware that they are the actual target. The 'labour party' is going to increasing look like a Hamas / white genocide party Something else could happen - perhaps, but i think it's going to be tough for many to avoid seeing it despite their past investment in nonsense. I'm not that optimistic though - i think it will end in pitched battle sometime after the 2024 election (if we have one).
