One interesting fact about his background is that he was born in 1969 ... but his parents didn't get around to getting married until 1982. So ... unlike Sunak and Braverman he's probably not had a "religious" upbringing.

The Tories are going to get wiped out at the next GE, and thus anybody who was anywhere near a government position will (a) lose their seat or (b) not stand a chance in a leadership contest. If you look at history they will have two / three vanilla candidiates until they find somebody any good that is willing to step up to the plate.
Braverman is a disaster, how Sunak cannot see that is beyond me.

I like the way he thinks. James Cleverly from Braintree!
How did the Tories manage that?

You don't think one of the replacement morons would do a better job. Starmer is as thick as pig shit when it comes to economics. It's easy to crash the economy, but much harder to uncrash it. It's what has not happened which is the good news. Recall all those dire predictions regarding Brexit. Check our trade figures, and as for Braverman, the numbers crossing by small boats has gone down.
We probably will get Starmer next, and Sunak will be thrown out for another bigmouth clown. It's sods law. The UK is cursed.

Amusing post of the week. That's a really brain-dead comment. I've been looking at the latest economic figures to make that assessment. Have you?

Why is it acceptable, every few weeks it seems to be talking about a new PM are we really that bad? The 10 year bond yield have stopped rising and slightly falling by the looks of things. The 3 year bonds are falling now and have been for a good few months.
Manufacturing PMI took a sharp fall during Johnson, but seems to be perking up just a bit lately, so not so bad.
Industrial production is up too.
So not all doom and gloom.

Sunak is certainly the most unwanted PM ever.
However he's got his banking-career to return to after he's finished ad PM next year.

Cleverly is an atheist. Religion played no part in his upbringing. He comes across to me as someone who is very much his "own man" ... his thoughts are untainted by "dogma". He's the most "well put together" personality on the current political scene.
