Interesting article, thank you. I do wonder though if David Frost's "spin" that they refer to is more to aid the Tory rebels on the Rwanda bill than it is aimed at the general election. The section on tactical voting is also of interest. I've certainly become a tactical voter over the last few years, often voting against someone I don't want rather than voting FOR what I want. The effect of large numbers of people doing this as seen in a number of by elections recently could distort the polling as per the headline. Although there was some evidence of this in 2019, it remains to be seen if this happens more in 2024. |
