One thing to remember, CFCs are a potent greenhouse gas. These gases caused holes in the ozone layer.
The holes in the ozone layer are slowly closing and these gases are less potent than they were, due to the ban on use.

That must have shifted very hot thermals over Antarctica to harmful effect. But if it triggers more Green Taxes on WESTERN saps duped by these vandals … kerchinnngggg ££€€$€$¥ Considering the number of scientist spewing out emissions from planes, boats and choppers … plus expeditions dumping their hot wastes, eco-tourists in cruise ships doing likewise … breaking up the ice as they rampage all over this fragile ecosystem … plus generating hot air talking hypocritical bollox about who’s really responsible for real damage to the Antarctic …. is it any wonder the wildlife there is struggling to survive and breed? It looks to me like penguin chicks are being thrown into the sea prematurely by Green Propagandists.🤔 Maybe if they declared Antartica “off-limits” …. the temperature might drop at least another °C or two … and the ice sheet might start expanding again as far as Cape Horn? … if we stop shipping going that way. This might help generate more breeding grounds for those adaptable penguins … who will happily move to a new site if humans with their cameras and scientific probes don’t intrude too much. It’s intimidating enough for humans trying to breed when an outsider you don’t know is filming through your bedroom window.
