In the light of the recent attacks by BLM and the Diversity Unit within the BBC to hack to death historic classics (mostly white) comedy shows on the BBC … applying censorship scissors reminiscent of the worst religious tyrannies ever to grace the planet in 2,000 years …
…..it’s interesting to note in this Real Comedy Controllers discussion on those classics … that Goodness Gracious Me totally escaped censorship in the current climate … much to the surprise of most listeners who enjoyed the show … including me!
Check the first half hour of this programme out … one of the funnier Goodness Gracious Me radio shows put under the spotlight … and imagine if white comedians made the same gags towards immigrant tribes today … what would the reaction be?

Note the intro comment by legendary Producer John Lloyd who fairly labelled the show “often very funny … but sometimes not very funny at all … and strangely RACIST” … and Jimmy Mulville let’s slip at the end that the show “didn’t come out of the stables of the Comedy Unit …. but out of the Diversity Unit of the BBC”.

So who put this so called Diversity Unit in charge of Comedy lately at the BBC? … flexing it’s ‘double standards’??
… Here we have a hidden quango eating at the very heart of this once hallowed Institution … clearly intent on destroying the BBC’s credibility … and it’s funding relationship with the British Public … who are quite frankly sick of this reverse racism that sees cultural Classics butchered by WOKE Producers queuing up to tick diversity boxes … or they don’t get funding … or an airing.
Will we see talented actors being replaced with diversity shoe-ins and presenters totally unqualified … hosting shows/documentaries just because they are manufactured celebs with little expertise…
Sad to see Radio 4 Extra now littered with diversity comedy content that isn’t half as funny as GGM was back then … because batting on about racism, giving it a subtext in every sketch is tedium to most audiences today. Yawn … move on and do something fresh, no?

Let me say firstly that most comedy that’s really funny, and stands the test of time is designed to offend one group or other, and trawl one stereo-type or another. So for the BBC’s Diversity Unit to peddle this OVERT reverse RACIST material … and then work to trash and cut to ribbons Alf Garnet, Little Britain, Monty Python and so many other classic shows, exposes a BBC Management taken over by killjoys with a bent to distort the very fabric of British Society and our comedy history.
It’s forced Social Engineering of the worst type … that our parents fought against coming from Europe in 1939-45. …. And in more recent times … from the EU and it’s Commission.
…. These CENSORS are out in force today because the MSM has given a platform and control to Religious Factions … and our political system along with it … run by the Islington Set.
We as a Majority can no longer take a vote on who is really offended … it’s been wrestle out of our hands by a minority of Guardianistas … the tail that wags the dog of lazy BBC Management.🤔

Tell that to the 17 people killed at Charlie Hebdo. I lived in the UAE for several years and I can tell you that the muslims are not exactly noted for their sense of humour.
