A good James Bond and actor and also entitled to his own political opinions.

Zardoz. A terrible outfit in a terrible film.
Of course, there was also that idiot writer who once said "wouldn't it be funny if we dressed him up as a giant teddy bear?"..
The name escapes me..

Wrong bullets for a Webley Fosberry. Terrible costume, antique pistol. Supposed to be set in the future. I liked Sean but his judgement was poor. He once even posed as Bond with a spring piston air pistol instead of a PPK.

The restrictions on firearms, even replicas, are so strict that you can excuse them for substituting an air pistol for a PPK.

Connery was friends with Michael Caine, they both starred in the film, The Man that would be King.
Both at times had to use the dole to survive as young actors, Connery also had some risky moments with an Edinburgh gang and a Micky Cohen gunman on the set of a film.
Caine had the better career though admitted being Bond took Connery to a different level of fame.
Connery even apart from Bond still had a career that many less successful actors would appreciate.
At 23 Matt Busby offered him a contract to play football yet he thought acting would be a safer bet.

I don't think anyone watched it. He was still the best Bond though. I liked Craig but he wasn't even Scottish. In fact Connery was the only Scot to play him. I mean, even a bloody Aussie played him in OHMSS. These Brit Nats go into fits of apoplexy at the thought of a black man playing Bond but turn a blind eye to an Englishman being given the role.

It wasn't about any legal restrictions on firearms, the photography company simply didn't have anything else to hand that day and the photographer owned an air pistol. Most people don't know their guns so they just thought what the hell?

Now now, just because we don't want Anjem Choudary to be the next Bond so as to look like the ultimate virtue signalling martyr of inclusivity, there's no need to go off on the deep end about it.
