i think morays post has largely covered your question ripley. Rumours have been going around for a while now about the rats leaving the sinking ship.
I agree with what the scottish indy blogger stuart campbell at wings wrote , that yousaf was looking vaguely statesmanlike regarding the middle east events , then put both his feet in it and came across as a petulant child regarding ash regans defection.
Scottish History isnt going to be very kind to nicola sturgeon , and im still wondering the motives behind the severe damage she has done to the snp and wider indy cause.
Yes, I see Yousaf's statement regarding Regan's defection sounded a bit peeved and churlish. Pete Wishart seems to be in agreement with him, saying Regan’s move to Alba was was entirely predictable, and perhaps suggesting that gaining status by becoming Alba’s leader at Holyrood was her motive. Do you think she should resign her seat? Pete wishart , also known the length and breadth of the land as "cosy feet pete" , in relation to his love of westminster and the lifestyle he has grown accustomed to. An unthinking party drone largely ridiculed by most folk .
No i dont think regan should resign her seat. Anymore than many in the snp should resign their seats for a betrayal over independence to the people who put them there.
I was told once before on this forum regading to an english mp that the individual in question shouldnt resign , and that the public will judge the individual in due course. So be it. Let the same rule apply to regan.
