The fact black people traded in their own black people is something black people are going to have to come to terms with, no sellers = no buyers. When it comes to slavery the truth is as rare as hens teeth, yet the truth is well known. As far as woke BLM supporting lefties are concerned slavery is the fault of the nasty racist British. The end. However reality is very different. The clip is less than half an hour but for the benefit of virtuous lefties who sneer at uncomfortable truths - for thousands of years African emperors and kings made an absolute fortune selling their own countrymen as slaves and as late as the 1840's many African leaders including the king of Benin in particular, demanded that the British stop their campaign to end the very lucrative slave trade. The truth about slavery is out there, but you will not hear it from the lips of an ignorant weeping lefty who on bended knee proudly affirms his support for a racist corrupt organisation like BLM. We all know and by that I mean 'lefties' as you call them, that slavery was rife amongst African and other countries long before the West got involved. Are you suggesting a 'they did it first' excuse for the misery inflicted on slaves by the British? |

Black people want reparations for slavery for their ancestors, I suggest they start with their 'own people' who sold off their ancestors to the highest bidders, the white people were their customers. If they get compo I want some as well . My ancestors were poor , indentured servants and out of work poor . The blacks took all the jobs, fecking slaves were creaming it ,jobs ,food ,a roof over their heads ,they were the middle classes of their time ,the bloody baby boomers of the 18th C They are taking the piss asking for compo , we took them out of Africa ,gave them a place in the world ,educated them and let them play cricket .Where would they be if we had not helped them out ? On bloody dingy's in the channel , that's where they would be , we just saved them 200 years of thinking about it not to mention the free ride . |

And that's the thing: We "Abolished" slavery at a time when we were still forcing children up chimneys. Poor children were routinely sold into slavery in the guise of "Indentured servants" where they would often be worked, starved and beaten to death. Let's jump in the time machine, hop back 200 years, and explain to them how much better off they are than a black slave. I wonder what the response would be? |
