Silvestar Toshev a Bulgarian national of no fixed address has been convicted of raping two girls aged 16 and 17. Due to the seriousness of his offences Judge Bryant-Heron KC handed down an extended sentence of 23 years - link There are serious questions to be answered here: 1. Is he an illegal? 2. Why was a Bulgarian vagrant in this country? 3. How did he arrive in this country? 4. Did Care4Calais help him to cross the channel? 5. Will he be deported after serving his sentence?

Silvestar Toshev a Bulgarian national of no fixed address has been convicted of raping two girls aged 16 and 17. Due to the seriousness of his offences Judge Bryant-Heron KC handed down an extended sentence of 23 years - link There are serious questions to be answered here: 1. Is he an illegal? Unlikely. His first offence was only nine months after freedom of movement for EU citizens came to an end. Most likely he came that way. 2. Why was a Bulgarian vagrant in this country? See 1) above. (probably) 3. How did he arrive in this country? I am guessing train, ferry on plane. Hard to know really. 4. Did Care4Calais help him to cross the channel? very unlikely. 5. Will he be deported after serving his sentence? Who knows. A decision for the legal system operational in around 2040 at the earliest.
