www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/new-welsh-bus-station-costing-27892090Stunning. Fucking Stunning Hot on the heels of destroying the bus station that brought travellers to, and took them from, Cardiff Central Railway Station for at least 150 years, the twats running Transport For Wales, a Wankford Production, have spent millions on a Transport Interchange intended to centralise bus, rail and taxi services in Barry, or as the locals call it, Barrybados, at which no buses will ever call…. Even the asshole money burners of Plaid Cymru call this a ‘shocking waste of money’

Even the asshole money burners of Plaid Cymru call this a ‘shocking waste of money’ Brilliant John, I read only today that the fools 20 mph limits will affect emergency services attendance times. Yeah, the emergency service vehicles bit is complicated. One of my past clients was Wiltshire Fire And Rescue. I picked up a few bits from them. Now i’m sure you know the emergencybservices can exceed the speed limit. The problem is ambulances and fire engines are HEAVY. The London fire service tracked its vehicles and found if they stated below 45 in a 30, MOST traffic patterns except the worst congestion allowed drivers on hearing the sirens to pull over, allowing the fire engine to maintain 40-45. If they went much faster they caught up before the traffic parted so they had to slow down and then speed up. Slowing down 32 tonnes of fire engine and water isn’t funny, not least because the water sloshes Ambulances are equally fun. I am a fairly proud member of the strange band of brothers and sisters who have demonstrated their proficiency at administering medical aid to a stretcher patient at speed through roundabouts……… to understand what i mean, imagine trying to apply pressure to a serious bleed while pulling a serious g force going round a motorway roundabout. And DO try not to fall down !!!!! I’ve also been on the receiving end of such a few times. The 20mph bs has doubled the congestion at any junction and the whole model has had to be revised.

I see this 'much needed' shiny new bus station that cost £millions has electric car charging points, bike infrastructure and taxi rank, but no busses. Honestly, it's hilarious.

The 119 bus goes to Colonnades/Croydon Airport even though no planes have flown from there since the ‘50s…
