I saw this posted a couple of days ago and while there are alot of non-Trans people (myself included), how have some strong opinions on some trans matters, it was interesting to see people within their community and how different some of their attitudes and opinions are.
Thought it something to share, since this debate comes up quite often and I'll just go ahead and say now, I think there would be alot less stigma against trans people if they had the attitude of Blair.

The Liberal position is do whatever you like to yourself but do not force your beliefs down others throats.
The far left position is that "women can have penises", "let men into women's areas, you're all transphobic racist scumbags if you don't", and "Crocodile Dundee is offensive transphobia".

First, thanks for that Tinculin, i’ll take a look when i’m next sitting in front of the server screen doing nothing waiting for the database overnight job to succeed, in case it doesn’t …. Which will me a bit past midnight tonight
My personal attitude to such stuff must have mellowed over the years
About the only thing i get REALLY worked up about is …..
Well look, i haven’t always been the overweight fat slob i am today. Indeed in the last years of my childhood and the earliest years of my adulthood i was rather accomplished at 10k running. This was the Dave Bedford era. I ran and won for school and county. In my uni years i hit my limit in spite of punishing training and gave up. I have no regrets. In similar fashion both my daughters found success in the swimming pool at school, club and county competition level and one came to the attention of the olympic coaches but again were not quite fast enough to sustain that interest. Again neither have regrets and actually both did not miss the punishing training schedule.
But it is that schedule and the dedication of REAL women to it that drives my view, which is this …
A man who achieves little more than 135th place in a men’s swimming, or indeed any track, field or other competitive sport and then chooses to put on a leotard instead of budgie smugglers in order to gain 1st place in the women’s event is so far beneath contempt as to be lower even than that cheating shitbag whose tour de france success came out of a pharmaceutical plant.
And those who support ‘it’s’ “right” to destroy the hopes and dreams of REAL women by acting in that way deserve nothing beyond a warmer and more deeply unpleasant place in Dante’s vision of hell than ‘it’ does.
