It's a paradoxical position.
There are no independent countries in the EU.
Not one of them has an independent border policy.
The SNP should think about this.

The SNP has thought about it and come to the conlusion that Scotland is far better under the EU umbrella than imprisoned in the UK.
'No independent countries in the EU'? you do talk nonsense. Every member state is independent, they have just chosen to share some powers.
As for Schengen, 5 countries remain outwith the agreement: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cypress, Ireland & Romania
