Ah so now its irrelevant whether the car that started the fire was electric or diesel even though in the very first post of this thread you said
"Obviously the big question is whether the car that started it was electric"
oops
So you can read dappy! So why did you say "What is the evidence that the fire started in an electric vehicle?" - when no one had said it was?
However the reason why it doesn't really matter what started the fire is because there were bound to be many EVs in that car park and some of them will have caught fire. And this is what has caused the fire to be uncontrollable and why the fire caused the structural steel of the car park to melt - causing the floor to collapse. That simply doesn't happen with conventional car fires. But Li-ion batteries burn at 5000C which is more than hot enough to melt steel and destroy concrete.
That's why this fire is such a wake up call for those in the government who advocate EVs to save the planet. This was NEVER true but now it's clear that EVs are positively dangerous.
On what started the fire we'll have to wait for the fire brigade's report to get the truth. At the moment there's a vague report that it started in a Range Rover diesel. Jacob Rees Mogg said last night that it was caused by a Tesla - and there was a Tesla among the burning cars on video. But who knows. The fact is that this fire has put the final nail in the coffin of Li-ion powered cars, whatever started the fire..
