There does seem to be a deliberate effort to under represent white people. White people are underrepresented in the professional game - perhaps we need quotas to ensure fairness? Well that’s an idea but the quality of the game would suffer.  |

But do they need them? The last time I saw Celtic they had more Nipponese on the field than Jocks. |

Perhaps we do, but are you happy with the selection of representatives who have been chosen to represent the population of the British Isles? And the message it sends both home and abroad? I don't see this as representatives of the population of the British isle at all but more Eufa attempting to show its woke credentials . If we're talking matchday squads then we have to include another Nip and two dog-eaters for a total of 6 versus five jocks.
Celtic's entire 32-man first team squad only includes seven Jocks plus players of 16 other nationalities. A far cry from the Lisbon Lions who consisted entirely of players born and raised in Glasgow.
Is this considered as progress?

The point is dan , irresepctive of race religion nationality colour or creed , when they put on the hoops we are all celts. something you dont appear to understand , which i suspect is because you dont have a clue about football.
they werent raised in glasgow , but i take your point about them being from within a radius of glesga. In footballing history though dan , this wasnt the norm and as far as i know pretty unique.(in terms of winning the champions cup)
you can consider it how you like dan. The world has move on from the 1960`s , and we are where we are.
