So now we know it. If you are successful and don't carry a shoulder chip, you’re the wrong sort of black . A good example of right-wing garbage propaganda ^^^ It has been recognised that thousands of children are on Pills for depression. 1in 5 people in the UK are on anti-depression medication. And millions of people are happy to be driven by their unrecognized 'mental' problems, thinking they are being so clever. Welcome to the real world. What are you waffling in about ? Dont try to sully my posts with delusional your word salads .

I cannot say I know her well enough to think I can judge her; she always seems pleasant enough.

You have to remember mate you are addressing someone who stated that coloured people were always kept on the bottom rung of the employement ladder. Kemi Badenoch and Suella Braverman have stole the show at the Tory party conference.

Kemi Badenoch is wrong
Kemi Badenoch comes from a middle class Nigerian family who's father was a GP, and mother a professor of medicine, both educated in Nigeria.
The vast majority of black people in the UK are from the Caribbean, most of them came to this country as poor, unskilled immigrants between 1950 and 1980, and most of whom encountered racism and discrimination on a daily basis, particularly between 1950 - 1980, the year in which Kemi Badenoch was born.
Yes - things have got much better, society is much more equal, but we still live with many consequences of a VERY racist Britain within the living memory of at least half the population living today.
Kemi Badenoch is out of touch, she refuses to accept the reality of recent history, she looks at life for black people through rose tinted spectacles.
She's a right wing, populist Tory who's well known for her intolerant opinions, particularly concerning gay people.

Telling a black person she is wrong to say Britain is the best place to be if you're black. Oh dear. I suppose, this didn't meet your victimhood narrative for black people. She would be right in your view if she had said: Britain is still racist and as a black person I am testament to that as I have to live with this day in day out being oppressed by white privilege. That's it Sid, keep your foot on them, keep them down...

Let’s face it if any other black woman who came from a middle class Nigerian family claimed that black people were oppressed in the UK , the same lefties who tell us that Badenoch is the wrong type of black to have an opinion would be hanging in every word .

It is only one persons opinion, and that person is a Right Wing Tory who sits comfortably on the Populist wing of the Tory Party, and she is well known for her intolerant views. It has absolutely nothing to do with so called "victimhood" its about reality, something which she, and obviously you, cannot see or accept. I also very strongly disagree that Britain is the best country for black people to live in, I have always found it astonishing that a predominantly white, commonwealth country, with a democracy based on The Westminster style can be infinitely more tolerant and fairer than the United Kingdom. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoFGhYNi2Xc&t=31s

The majority of black people in the UK from the time of the first Caribbean immigrants arrived in large numbers 1947-1948 until the 1980s were of Caribbean origin, overwhelmingly. It was not until the 21st century that "African & Other" blacks overtook Caribbean black in numbers As stated in my previous post, things for black people improved over a long period, begining in the 1960s with The Race Relations Act, by the time most Afican black immigrants came here, life was much improved for black and Asian people. The 1950s and 1960s were utterly appaling times for black people in this country, and people like Kemi Badenoch refuse to acknowledge history.

Good link, Dan. More proof that Sid posts the first thing that comes into his mind. Who cares if it is factual?

So, (I'm going to presume), you are a white liberal "progressive", telling this black person she is wrong about her own experience and opinion of this country, correct? Indeed. Well, lets put it this way ...... for every Kemi Badenoch, there are 100 black people who will disagree with her Political attitudes or opinions do not affect reality, factual and evidence based history or the truth
