What is the basis for your claim that the French don't want to be in the EU? Is it a poll? And if the French are entitled to a referendum on the basis of a single poll, you will undoubtedly agree that the UK is entitled to one on the basis of 90 consecutive polls. Right? Yes, polls that go back years. But it's not just polls, my son is married to a French girl and lives in France. They used to live in Lyon where my son tells me people were openly angry with Macron and the EU. My son and his wife now live further south, he tells me the feeling towards Macron and the EU is if anything, even more hostile. My sons wife told me that Macron is unpopular because of the EU and immigration. It doesn't matter which way you cut it, the EU don't like referendums because they're not interested what the majority think. Which is why the EU is doomed to fail. I say they're pretty confident of continued success. 62%, and all that.

I say they're pretty confident of continued success. 62%, and all that. Pillock. Still 62%, though. And my point is still valid. If 90 consecutive polls have shown that the majority want to rejoin, then denying another referendum is undemocratic.

Oh for god sake, Einy you keep carping on about democracy and 62%, a few facts for you: 1. The UK was handed to the EU without a referendum or the consent of the British electorate. 2. In spite of repeated calls for a referendum pro EU governments refused to allow it, denying democracy for the people. 3. UKIP gained 13% of the vote which forced Cameron to allow that long overdue referendum. 4. In that referendum the 'majority' in the UK voted to leave the EU 5. In England where the vast majority of the UK electorate live work and pay taxes, 53.5% voted to leave. It doesn't matter how you dress it up, the EU don't do elections or referendums because they know democracy would see their downfall. I say again, the EU survives in spite of democracy, not because of it.

One thing for sure about the EU, they are very good at creating a false reality, while telling everyone it is for the greater good, even though they have managed to destroy Italy, Greece, Sweden, ROI and pretty much the UK amongst others, are well on the way of getting Ukraine made into a crater with the Yanks and the rest of us in tow, I would say don't count their chickens just yet. Their pettiness isn't without being noticed.

Red is blowing smoke as is usually the case on the EU. He's trying to rope the French in on his mad campaign against the 'unelected dictatorship', even to the extent of imagining polls going back years when there is no such thing.
I don't think Red has even set foot anywhere on the continent since the BAOR went home in the 1970s. Back in the day when he was single-handedly defending the Fulda Gap against marauding Russkies with only effete Dutchmen in hairnets for backup.
