So why the desperation to shut them down? There's no "desperation". Rather, they've played SO fast and loose with the terms of their licence that for OFCOM to do nothing would send a message that they're somehow exempt from rules to which other broadcasters are expected to adhere. It's like when trump bleats about "witch hunts". There's actually a threshold whereby for the authorities NOT to act becomes a practical impossibility. |
