Since 2007 right up to 2016 the UK had no economic growth whatsoever being a member of the EU. There is a mythical notion often bandied around that the EU is an economic saviour for the UK. It's not true.
Growth in the UK is hindered by technology, skill and investment as the US demonstrates. The UK joined the ECC aiming to reach US like levels of growth born from the myth that being a member would accelerate UK growth, of course this failed to materialise.

It sounds like prostitution. If it sounds that way to you it's probably because you subscribe to the argument that we are all prostitutes. Selling different parts of ourselves -- talent, brains, body, skill. I was referring to your post. It said absolutely nothing except to give up power, control and freedom for stability and prosperity. It was just nonsense.

" Give up power, control and freedom" is an overused anti-EU, Brexit-reinforcing rhetorical cliche. It is as emotive as it is false and exaggerated. Nonsense, really.

You're the one who basically wants what can only be described as an unpopular single party state. Thankfully, we've had a lot of experience of the EU so can't really be fooled by the same propaganda. I was curious about what you wanted and now I know.

Wanting an unpopular single party state is far removed from wanting stability and prosperity. There is no connection there whatsoever.

Correct, what happened instead was the opening of our market, deindustrialisation of our country happened as companies migrated to cheaper parts of the bloc to have cheaper labour and lower taxes.

Well, most likely if you say so, a bit like save the economy or save Brexit could only be thought by a complete Europhile living in the past. As I said, Brexit is very topical again. Which is amusing, as remain constantly try and make dark times into a sunny EU future which never was and never will be. It is hilariously full of holes, so I just let a few others point them out, which only is made topical by pure desperation.
