In another thread it was suggested that I said - Merkel apologised for 'African' migrants - this is false. I did not say that. I said Merkel apologised for the utter cock up that is the European migration crisis. I thought all non eu migration was the direct responsibility of eu members states own governments , rather than brussells?
African migration , and middle eastern migration , into europe in my opinion red is as a direct result of the united states determination to take out the buffer zone of gaddafi in libya , and hussein in iraq , and the continued war against the syrian regmie.
We in europe are paying the price for this.
I agree with you regarding merkel , but her legacy , just like blair s legacy for us , is a problem the german people have to live with.

Thomas, migration is not the responsibility of individual EU states, although I agree some remainiacs think it is. The EU have imposed minimum migration quotas on all EU states, if EU states refuse to accept migrants they face huge fines imposed by Brussels. Poland is currently facing a €600 million fine, Hungary and the Czech Republic are also refusing to accept EU migrant quotas and Italy are demanding that Brussels enforced migrant quotas are reduced. The almighty European migration disaster which will change Europe forever is 100% the fault of the EU. It was the incompetent EU who opened job centres in Africa, it was unelected and incompetent EU bureaucrats who flew to Africa to encourage migration, and it's the incompetent EU who are now spending €millions attempting to stop the cross Med invasion they encouraged and I say again, the architects of the disaster should be in prison. |

Non Eu migration is the responsibility of member states governments. They set the quotas , decide who they will or wont take. Eu state migration , freedom of movement is a condition of membership imposed by brussells.
What you are talking about is a part truth here. Where since the fall of our friendly dictators like gaddafi that blair and brown were out hugging and kissin in desert tents , this has left spain , italy , and of course greece with the middle eastern migration to bear the brunt.
Once into europe , on the greek or italian islands for exmaple , the EU is leaving the member state governments of the aforementioned countires to get on with dealing with this issue caused largely by american agression , regime change and sanctions.
