Last night Farage had a very interesting interview with Dominick Tarcszynski - who's in the party leading the in the forthcoming elections. link
It's worth listening to because he's completely different from our useless politicians. He actually loves his country and he's determined not to have it destroyed by immigrants. He says that Poland is the best place to live in the EU - unlike Germany which has destroyed its country letting in hundreds of thousands of migrants - who they don't have any identification for. He says that this has led to Germany becoming a dangerous place to live - their women and children are no longer safe and terrorism is ever-present. Poland will never compromise the safety of its people. They will let in ZERO immigrants. When the EU tries to tell them they need to accept their quota they will always say no - not a single one. Polish law is above ANY other law. All illegals will be deported. It's great stuff. I wish our politicians were like this. And what he says is backed up by the facts. Poland has a very low crime rate and no terrorism. It's also a relatively cheap country to live in. Unlike GB which is riddled with illegals, rape and terrorism, has appalling productivity and one of the highest costs of living in Europe.

I suspect that Poland has two advantages over the UK. 1 they can put up fences . 2 they are not burdened by perma adolescent virtue signallers who want to let in as many migrants it takes to make them feel good inside .

I think point 2 is the real reason - there isn't the political will to keep them out. It's actually quite a big job to build fences all round your country, but we could prevent the boats coming here by the simple expedient of taking them straight back. Alternatively we could forbid RNLI to bring them to the UK - just to take them back to France.

The EU countries have found to be useless and impotent in keeping out migrants and they are going to do their best to make sure the UK is useless and impotent in keeping out migrants too.

It's a bit of a fantasy expecting your government to take a hard line on immigration when the big shots in it are immigrants themselves.
