He was certainly a bur under thatchers saddle. The GLC HQ that was sited across the thames opposite the HOC was his billboard and he used to put up the numbers of the unemployed on the side of the HQ....It certainly rattled thatchers cage and possibly brought about the demise of the GLC. |
