The UK already cannot make its own rules, because if products we export to the EU do not adhere to their regulations, they wont take them. That is a daft argument because it applies to every exporter in the world - if we dont comply with regulations in the US then we cannot export to them, if BMW do not comply with regulations in the UK they cannot export to us.. This has always been the case and always will be.

Look Sid, we get it, you didn't want to leave, you like the EU and you're biased.
But independence is a success. The economic figures prove it.
Our exports to the EU are worth more now than before the referendum and that's taking inflation into account.
So why would we want to do this? We don't need to. It would limit our opportunities, narrow our horizons, make us less open.
It's a door to a whiteys club of little xenophobic protectionists.
We don't need it.
