The police should be figures of authority and be seen as a neutral in all things . No problem with police dancing in carnivals or pride marches if off duty . When they are in uniform they should not .

Yes, I have seen a couple of pictures of PC's enjoying a carnival atmosphere and why not, you are just a spoilsport. One or two pictures do no mean it is widespread. Of course it is wide spread and there are far more pictures than just 2. How about the male plod dressed in high heels? They are supposed to be upholding the law FFS and not acting out their diversity fantasies. Before we know it we'll have a load of RuPaul coppers prancing about, calling everyone luvvie. FFS

Suella Braverman is blatantly appealing to the worst examples of humanity our nation can produce, in pursuit of every sexist, racist, and homophobic vote out there, the kind of people who used to vote BNP.
It is the lowest form of politics but it does seem to work with some of the more blinkered knuckle draggers around here, and others like them, which is partly why she is doing it. The other reason is a blatant appeal to the worst elements inside the Tory membership in pursuit of future leadership ambitions.
They pretty much know now that the next election is lost and that Sunak will be gone soon afterwards. Many senior Tories are thinking about what comes next after that, and Braverman is blatantly appealing to the worst elements amongst the membership in pursuit of her own future ambitions.
Like most politicians across the board in all parties, they are more interested in their own future careers than they are in right or wrong let alone serving the best interests of the country.

FFS It would be even more astonishing if we ever encountered you living in the 21st century. You probably preferred the good old days of racist comedians, beatings in schools, paedophilia swept under the carpet, where women knew their place, racial discrimination was still legal, and gay people were put in prison. After all, it never did you any harm did it? lol

No. Though you already knew that so another pointless post. As for hoodies, the only kind of hoodie one or two around here might see fit to wear is the type of thing worn by the Ku Klux Klan. It would better reflect their values.

I thought I might ask, as you have been known to deny they exist in another parallel universe, on the amusing side though, I would bet Trump supporters will be using a few of those photos.

I see a Conservative member at the conference was man-handled out of the hall for 'mildly' criticising Braverman's speech, this is what the Conservatives now are, appalling.

In my limited experience, there isn't much in the way of simulated public sex at village fetes
However, just to be clear, no Morris dancing while on duty either.

Would that be true if they were at a village fete? Whats the difference if they are on duty? Well I don't know if you had kids, but I well remember our local Bobby being at the fete and having a go at the tombola or splat the rat. It was considered a part of the community relations.
