Can anyone imagine Jim Callaghan taking the knee? Or even Harold Wilson? Tony Blair for sure, but that merely emphasises the extent to which Labour have severed their connections with the white working class since the Blairites took control. That’s would appear to be true. It’s Right Wingers who tend to concern themselves most with class and ethnicity. Current senior Labour Party personnel seem to consider themselves to be more for working people…

He has a point though in the UK and the US it is possible to be chosen for employment because one is black and of course that means someone else being rejected because they are white. Such a move is highly unlikely but if or where it exists they are the product of racism against Black people, proved in part by the high level of unemployment amongst Black or coloured people. The big difference being that most racism against Black or coloured people is insidious in its nature. It sometimes starts by crossing off the names on an applications list for a job. As has been backed up on this forum previously. Black people have not been given equal opportunities in this country, so it is seriously immature to imply that Black Lives Matter is cancelled out with the silly attempted cancelation that White Lives Matter. Both matter but are referred to in very different circumstances. Context is the devider. Perhaps I should have said in law. Racism as it exists is supposed to be both morally indefensible and legally impossible. Yet racial discrimination is both sought and allowed in law and in fact demanded by diversity regulations. The moral aspect of racism in these circumstances disappears in a puff of smoke and it is presented as both moral and anti-racist. Equal opportunity depends on many things not least the willingness of those being equal to participate. One cannot have both a 'diverse society' with a multitude of cultural proclivities and an equal society where everyone has and accepts their equality. Currently the country is a mess and it will only become worse as ethnic differences are used to foster unrest. Perhaps that is the plan, it seems crazy that we have arrived where we are with the knowledge of history and human interaction we have or should have.

The right wonder why identity is used to belittle them most of the time.

They even weaponised them.

Just for clarification, you are calling Bentley a racist? Bentley's argument was probably too strong and powerful compared to the puny ramblings from a loony lefty. TBH, I didn't even know Bentley was right wing.
I’m about as right wing as a 1960/ 70s left winger .

If you ever manage to borrow a second brain cell you just might begin to see just how immature and ridiculous many of your posts are, just like the one above ^^^

That is largely rubbish it is the left that have pushed the race laws and it is the left that wallow in identity. The right wonder why identity is used to belittle them most of the time. It is the moderates who have argued the case for less racism in this country. Right wingers seem to just accept the status quo. Less racism means more race laws, or more use of the race laws, if one sees racism as a problem. No one has addressed the moral problem as to why racism is bad. Is it bad becasue people should not be judged or discriminated against as individuals by the colour of their skin? I think most people accepted the race laws initially as targeting actual racism although there were many inconsistencies as regards the whys and wherefores. Now they seem to actively work to preclude white people from positions of influence and open celebration of the election or placing of an ethnic minority person in any position seems at best...racist. I have to confess a long time ago I applauded the arrival of Trevor Macdonald on our screens as it seems he won through despite racism against him. Now I see black faces everywhere and I no longer celebrate as I view it as deliberate racial policy. How times change.
